DAMON GAMEAU

$5,500.00

GHOST TOWN

Picked up on George St, Sydney having been seen wandering for three days talking to ‘thin air’ and disturbing the peace. Damon insisted he was communicating with his wife back in Ireland who he had left behind some six months earlier. He was adamant that they were only in the middle of a heated discussion and were close to a resolution. She was “scared on her own and was struggling to support the three children and needed me to return home immediately.” He appeared in the Police Gazette photo supplements in 1921, labelled as disturbed with violent tendencies.
